CLUB ESTABLISHED 2004

Lads Club Amateurs were formed at the beginning of this season to provide a club that would be run by, and for, players.  Manager and co-founder, William Creamer, says, “It’s the players that make the club and so the club must adapt to suit their needs”.  Consequently, five of the six committee members this season are also signed players.  The link with Aberdeen Lads Club is also an important aspect to the new team.  Some of the players have come through the ranks at ALC and this amateur team provides a continuation.

The Club has had a solid start to amateur football, reaching the fourth round of the Scottish Cup (sadly no away days for team spirit) and hoping for a strong finish to their Division 2 North campaign in a push for promotion.  As suggested, team spirit is highly valued by the entire Club and regular social gatherings are encouraged and the club continues to demonstrate its commitment to the players with a weekend ‘retreat’ in Edinburgh before the final league push.

Many thanks to our sponsors named above.

Finally, Lads Club Amateurs would like to thank their loyal band of supporters this season and hope that this would grow in coming seasons.
